December 2007: The crossing of Raven's lines on Cary's lines was all I had hoped it would be. I just wish we had been granted the time to work with the combination further. Raven crossed on Cary daughters Velvet and Gypsy Delight resulted in some of the most beautiful poodles produced in our breeding career. We often board many of these pups back at the farm while families are on vacation or dealing with family emergencies and are amazed at the poodle type, wonderful conformation, elegance, and beautiful temperament and personality of these pups - most of whom are now 4-5 years old. The combination of these lines also put out pups with a lot of working drive, combined with a high level of intelligence. Many of these pups are being used in working fields today, as well as in obedience and agility. Like Saxon, Cary will be 13 years of age in 2008.
2005: Nat'l & Int'l Ch Landmark Carob's Delight "Cary" was a real delight to work with and to be around. Like "Raven", with his English blood lines, "Cary" also has a touch of "British" reserve. He is very gentle and very careful around small animals and around small children. "Cary" came to us at 4 1/2 years of age. He is a vibrant, fun loving standard poodle who delights in new activities and surroundings, letting his natural curiosity and poodle personality carry him through new experiences.
2004: "Cary" went to ex-partner Anna Eberhardt in 2004, and was neutered. "Cary" had come a long way from his beginnings and continued to be a delight to all of us, and to everyone who visited and is sorely missed at Friendship Farm 'n More.
"Cary" went into his first International Show like the champion he became. We were so proud of him, and all the work of the previous months were more than worth it, to see him parade around the show ring like he deserved to be there. "Cary" critiqued as follows at 5 1/2 years of age at the International Show in Hillsboro, Or. in May 2000:
Judgement: Handled to potential, well balanced and proportioned, good condition.
1.) Overall Impression: Nice outline, well shown, has pretty good balance.
2.) Coat: Good condition, fits dog, well groomed.
3.) Head: Correct shape, balances body, well proportioned.
4.) Bite, Mouth: Scissors bite, acceptable & strong.
5.) Eyes: Good shape and color, good pigment - shape - size.
6.) Ears: Correct set and carriage, well fringed, good length.
7.) Chest: Adequate depth, well let down, wide, strong, deep.
8.) Front Angulation: Tight feet, good bone, well placed shoulders.
9.) Back Angulation: Hocks well let down in rear, sound hocks, acceptable stifle, good width.
10.) Top Line: Level, sound and strong, firm.

Cary took two legs of his International Champion title, and one leg of his National Champion title.
Cary showed again in December of 2000 at the International Show in Ridgefield, WA and a summary of his critiques was as follows:
Judgement: Pleasing, well presented dog, presents self well in ring, alert and responsive.
"Cary" completed his International and National titles with this show. He also showed in family group with two of his 4 months old daughters, Int'l Baby Ch Friendships Irish Velvet and Friendships Gypsy Delight went Reserve Grand in Family Group three times.
Cary showed again at over 6 years of age, competing for his Veteran title at the International Show in Hillsboro, OR August 2001. A summary of the critiques is as follows:
Judgement: Good brown color for age, worthy of championship.
1.) Overall Impression: Decent for Age.
2.) Coat: Very good.
3.) Head: Nice.
4.) Bite, Mouth: Excellent.
5.) Eyes: Wonderful shape and color.
6.) Ears: Good, well set on.
7.) Chest: Good, nice depth.
8.) Front Angulation: Good, nicely set under.
9.) Back Angulation: Moderate.
10.) Top Line: Nice short back.
11.) Tail: Well set.
12.) Movement: Okay.
Unfortunately "Cary" had a frightening incident in the middle of the show, getting lost on the fairgrounds when unloading from a vehicle, and we asked that he be excused from the 2nd show due to the trauma. As a result he ended up earning 2 legs of his Veteran Champion title, instead of the three necessary.
"Cary" was bred to MKM Friendships Joyous Noel (Joy-Joy) (offspring of Intl Ch Friendships Raiding Saxon and Friendships MKM Ladywind Too - a "Raven" x "Cassie" daughter) visiting from New Mexico in February 2001. They produced a fantastic litter of of 10 blacks and browns, one of which is Friendships Shiloh Garden, foundation stud for Shiloh Gardens Kennel in Montana. . "Joy-Joy" is maternal sister to our "Lexi", and is a beautiful cream like her dam and grandam "Cassie", with a coat like crushed velvet, and was pick of the litter female from a litter of 14.

"Cary" has also produced several other outstanding litters since being at Friendship Farm 'n More, the most outstanding being his litter with "Windy", again producing 10 beautiful black and brown puppies.
"Gus" (Resides in California) at 6 months of age.
His daughters Intl Ch Friendships Irish Velvet and Friendships Gypsy Delight out of Pharohs Midnight Gypsy have now developed into a beautiful silver beige and a beautiful blue, due to two silver lines coming in from their dam's side of the pedigree, and bred to Raven have produced four outstanding litters of working and companion standard poodles.

"Cary" was still going strong at nine years of age and was only used for stud service to a few chosen bitches. His puppies are very much sought after for family companions, and companions to children as they have such wonderful temperaments. They also test very highly for search & rescue, tracking and retrieving.
