LITTERMATE TO NATL & INTL CH FRIENDSHIPS IRISH VELVET

Friendships Gypsy Delight "Gypsy" is a beautiful blue standard with a very gentle disposition, owned by Annette Gregg.  Annette had hoped to show her on the International Show Circuit, with Mishelle's help in 2006 to get her International and Veteran titles, however family health has prevented this from happening.  . "Gypsy" has had four beautiful litters, two with "Raven" and one with "Sterling", and the latest with "Kit".

It is anticipated that "Gypsy" may be bred for her last litter to either "Sterling" for a blue litter, or to "Kit" for a black and brown litter in 2008.

GD4  Litter - Friendships Gypsy Delight "Gypsy" x Intl CH Friendships Pepik "Kit".  Black and brown litter was born December 9th, 2006.  There is one lovely male GD4-5 still available from this litter.  "Holmes" is a beautiful black neutered male, with a very high level of intelligence, a touch of independence, and working drive who would do best with an older family, or someone who would like to train him to do agility.

Friendships Sherlock Holmes at 9 months of age.

"ROWDY"

At 8 months of age at the International Show in Seattle, Washington  June 2005

Junior International Champion Friendships Flight o'the Raven better known as "Rowdy" is one of the most beuatiful boys bred from our lines, however unfortunately he did not pass the "third point" on his hips that we feel is critical for a breeding stud.  "Rowdy" is out of Annette Gregg's Friendships Gypsy Delight and our own "Raven".  He has many siblings that passed Penn Hip testing at 80-90%, and just happens to be the one that didn't score as well.  One hip Penn Hipped at 50%, the other at 30%.  "Rowdy" has a wonderful playful personality, but settles very quickly.  Although a deep brown at this age we do feel that he will turn a beautiful silver beige like his aunt "Velvet".

The following is a summary of "Rowdy's" critiques from the International Show in Albany, Or April 2005, at 6 months of age:

Judgement:  Nice puppy, nicely balanced/proportioned male.

  1. Overall Impression:  Very puppyish, good attitude.
  2. Coat:  Proper for age, excellent texture, good.
  3. Head:  Pretty, nicely formed, pleasing.
  4. Bite, Mouth:  Normal, proper for breed, correct.
  5. Eyes:  Pretty, alert, expressive, are well placed.
  6. Ears:  Good, well placed, nice ear set.
  7. Chest:  Adequate for age, good spring of rib, good depth.
  8. Front Angulation:  Good, well assembled.
  9. Back Angulation:  Good, well muscled, moderate angle.
  10. Topline:  Good, strong, firm.
  11. Tail:  Could use better, follows spine well, good set.
  12. Movement:  Good, good action, little more drive than reach.

The following is a summary of "Rowdy's" critiques from the International Show in Seattle, WA June 18-19, 2005, at 8 months of age:

Judgement:  Presents well in ring, needs rings exposure, quite well put together.

  1. Overall Impression:  Energetic, showy attitude, pleasing outline, strong.
  2. Coat:  Proper undercoat, plesing pigment and texture.
  3. Head:  Good, masculine, balanced.
  4. Bite, Mouth:  Correct.
  5. Eyes:  Well set and shaped.
  6. Ears:  Good carriage, frame head with good fringe.
  7. Chest:  Well let down, wide.
  8. Front Angulation:  Adequate, angled bone, tight feet.
  9. Back Angulation:  Adequate, wide rear, pleasing angle.
  10. Topline:  Correct, strong.
  11. Tail:  Good croup, tail set, well placed and carried.
  12. Movement:  Adequate front and rear, covers ground quickly and nicely.

This is one of the most difficult decisions we have been called on to make, but "Rowdy" is available, since we cannot use  him in our breeding program, and we feel he deserves a family of his own.  "Rowdy" is crate trained, kennel trained, house broke, has completed his vaccination and worming program, is travel trained, and started on beginning obedience.  He will make a very loving fun companion for a family.  Rowdy placed with a lovely family in Seattle, who also have a Raven x Velvet son 2 years older.  They come visit us whenever they are in the area, so we still get to see our very much loved "boys".
