International Champion Lilly Girl is an absolute delight to be around. She has proven to be very adaptable, adjusting to many situations in her life, and still coming out of it with a good attitude. In November of 2002, while at an IABCA show in Longview, WA we were contacted by one of our "puppy" families in the Seattle area about a silver bitch - over 3 years of age - that was in desperate need of a home. When we checked into this, and found all of her paperwork in order, and were able to compile most of her medical records we brought "Lilly" into our family of poodles. Within months we had her cleaned up, fed up to a better weight for her size, had her genetic testing, and had her in the International Show of May 2003, where she earned her International Champion title and was awarded Best of Breed twice. She is very correct in conformation, and has a wonderful coat, although we consider her more of a light blue than silver, although she was registered as a silver.
A summarization of Lilly's critiques at the International Show in Hillsboro, Or May 2003 was as follows:
Judgement: Nice bitch, good movement, good specimen of breed.
1.) Overall Impression: Nice bitch, sound, very good condition.
2.) Coat: Nice texture, harsh, good coat.
3.) Head: Pretty, nice head.
4.) Bite, mouth: Fine, Good.
5.) Eyes: Pretty, dark, correct.
6.) Ears: Fine, okay, correct.
7.) Chest: Nice, adequate, well dropped.
8.) Front Angulation: Fine, good.
9.) Back Angulation: Nice, good.
10.) Top line: Nice, level, good topline.
11.) Tail: Alright, okay, good tailset.
12.) Movement: Fair, good, moves well.
Lilly earned her International Champion title, as well as being awarded a Best of Breed twice.
Lilly was bred to Intl Ch Flash of Lightning MacIntosh "Mickey", our German import, for her first litter with us. Unfortunately she only produced two puppies, however both have outstanding temperaments and very good conformation.
At 8 weeks - Friendships Flash o'Destiny owned by Cheryl & Jorg Drenkow, CA
Lilly was bred to Intl CH Friendships Viking Ravenwind in Winter and Summer 2004 but unfortunately didn't settle. We were really excited about getting a litter from this combination as the COI was very low and very diverse, with very few poodles in the background that have been known to contribute to some of the genetic problems in the breed. COI 2.63 @ 98%
When she didn't settle for two heat cycles we had her undergo exploratory surgery, which resulted in spaying. Unfortunately her reproductive organs were not properly located, and the vet felt it was a miracle that she settled at all with her first litter, and this also accounted for there only being two puppies. Lilly has since been placed in a wonderful loving home.
