 "Tawny" shown in the Englilsh Saddle clip - absolutely adorable!

DEC 2007:  "Tawny" has been retired from Mishelle's breeding program, and now lives with a retired family on the Oregon Coast, and is absolutely adored and adoring.  She was a wonderful foundation bitch for Mishelle and we will always remember her with lots of love and affection.  She brightened all of our hearts.  May she have  many years of running on the sands and playing in the waves.

APRIL 2006:  New Intl CH Orista Cheri Tawny O'Horizon "Tawny" just completed earning her adult International Champion Title at the International Dog Show in Puyallup, WA October 15th & 16th, 2005.  She also took Best of Breed, 2 Group 3rd, and 1 Group 2nd.  "Tawny" will also be competing at the AKC show in Albany, OR November 5th & 6th, 2005.  We will have her new show photos soon.  "Tawny" is the first miniature that Mishelle has shown in the English Saddle clip, as she wanted the grooming experience and "Tawny" had a good body for this show clip.

The following is a summarization of Tawny's critique's at the International Show at 3 1/2 years of age in Puyalup, WA October 2005:

Judgement:  Nice temper, shows well, nice example of the breed.

  1. Overall Impression:  Nice size, compact, feminine, squarely built, great mover.
  2. Coat:  Profuse, nice texture, correct springy texture, English Saddle clip, good condition.
  3. Head:  Nicely balanced, very feminine, nice chiseling and length of muzzle, typy.
  4. Bite, Mouth:   Acceptable, scissors, strong teeth, full dentition.
  5. Eyes:  Nice, dark - a little round, rounder than proper but dark, dark, expressive.
  6. Ears:  Correct placement, good length, hanging close to head, well set.
  7. Chest:  Well developed, proper width and depth, good depth lacks breadth.
  8. Front Angulation:   Well placed shoulder, nice bone, better in neck, angles are good, good.
  9. Back Angulation:   Nice hocks and stifles, moderate in rear, good, balanced to front because of angles.
  10. Topline:   Correct for breed, strong back, short powerful loin, level.
  11. Tail:   Good set, well carried, correctly carried and set, up - active.
  12. Movement:   Close coming and going, covered ground well, nice from all angles, clean fluid mover.

Junior International Champion Orista Cheri Tawny O'Horizon better known as Tawny by owner Mishelle (Horizons).  Tawny is the foundation bitch for Mishelle's Horizons Miniatures.   She is owner groomed and handled, and will be returning to the show scene in Fall 2005.   Tawny is dam of "Ginger" who took some top honors at the International Show in Seattle, WA in June 2005, and has been shown on the AKC show circuit as well.   Tawny is a beautiful cream with a full, luxurious coat, great pigment and is consistently siring puppies with great temperaments, quality coats and outstanding health, although a few have gone oversize.

The following is a summarization of Tawny's critique's at the International Show at 1 year of age in Hillsboro, OR May 2003:

Judgement:  Nice girl, typey but could use harsher coat, needs maturity.

  1. Overall Impression:  Nice, square, decent head, good condition.
  2. Coat:  Soft, more stiffness, acceptable needs conditioner, dry.
  3. Head:  Pretty, pleasing, good head.
  4. Bite, Mouth:   Good bite, fine.
  5. Eyes:  Nice, dark, good.
  6. Ears:  Nice, OK, good.
  7. Chest:  Developed, good, well dropped for age.
  8. Front Angulation:   Nice, needs more layback, good.
  9. Back Angulation:   Adequate, needs more bend of stifle, good.
  10. Topline:   Good, level, slightly long in loin.
  11. Tail:   OK, decent set, well set.
  12. Movement:   Fair, acceptable, good.

"Tawny" has now sired several litters, and all of her puppies are very beautiful with wonderful temperaments, luxurious thick caots, and loving playful dispositions.  She has had two litters with "Toby" and one with German import "Joey".  Watch for "Tawny" back on the show circuit in full show coat in Fall 2005 and into 2006.
